New York-based technology startup, pioneering the concept of Reverse Publishing.
In official corporate speak, SharedBook offers a collaborative on-demand Reverse Publishing Platform. In other words, we help companies take their online assets and reproduce them in digital flipbook or professionally-printed book formats.
Never heard of Reverse Publishing?
Creating new markets is never easy, but we think we're on to something and hope you'll join us in the experience.
You can expect to hear from each member of our management team, from the desk of our CEO Caroline Vanderlip, to Mor Schlesinger, the head of our Research and Development team in Herzlia, Israel.
We've all encountered the highs and lows of startup life before, but never as openly as we plan to do with this blog.
If you go to SharedBook.com you will find ACE Ltd., AT&T, Kraft Foods, NBC, The New York Times, Sony, Tecnomatix Technologies, Time Warner, United Media, Universal Music, Vigil Technologies and Vivendi Universal in our bios.
But you won’t have a clue as to what really makes us tick. Here’s how we spend our free time.
Caroline Vanderlip, CEO
A native New Yorker who would never give up Central Park, Caroline enjoys French and English 19th century furniture, collecting Nathaniel Mills silver smalls, tennis, skiing, golf, animals and animal welfare, gardening, cooking and books of all sorts. Caroline also lists SharedBook as one of her passions.
Rami Abramson, APIs & Content Team Leader
Rami lists movies and books - true stories, biographies, and those about fighting corruption as two of his main interests. He also likes to travel with his wife - they are particularly fond of the landscapes and people of Scotland. In Rami’s spare time, he swims and runs to stay healthy.
Dave Brown, VP, IT Operations
Dave is a family man with an adventurous little boy and a new baby girl. He “LOVES” to golf and also enjoys offshore fishing and cooking.
Ze'ev Bubis, Software Development Team Leader
Ze’ev lists two very "energetic hobbies," one age two and the other nearly 6. He is mainly interested in computers and technology, but also enjoys movies, especially animation and science fiction. Ze’ev attends film festivals and special screenings whenever he can.
Peter Budd, VP, Product Development & User Experience
In his free time, Peter likes to travel the most, especially on cruises and anywhere there is turquoise water and lots of sun. A big fan of electronic gadgets (the iPhone is next on his list), he also enjoys pop culture and is an avid trivia buff.
Dario Geier, Software Development Team Leader
In his free time, Dario enjoys playing music and spending time outdoors exploring nature. He also lists scuba diving and carpentry as two of his top interests.
Saffi Hartal, Software Development Team Leader, Architecture
A fan of good coffee, especially double espresso, wine and Python, Saffi is always looking for smarter ways to do things. He likes to play games, riddles and brain challenges with his friends, and enjoys bike rides and going to the park with his wife and two children, which are his greatest challenge!
Rick Hunt, VP, Marketing
Rick is our resident Ivy grad who teaches us something every day. He says travel, renaissance literature, oenophilia (a person who enjoys wines, usually as a connoisseur) and NASCAR sounds much better than movies, beer and golf, but he likes them all!
Ann Manby, VP, Communications
A Kentucky transplant, Ann has always loved outdoor activities and says taking her dog for long walks around the city is her favorite way to spend time. After that, she lists flower gardening, mountain biking and riding horses – she recently discovered dressage during a brief hiatus in her home state.
Oren Negby, QA & Tech Support Manager
While Oren spends most of his time with his three children (ages 7, 5 and 3), he also likes to play the piano, guitar and flute when he gets the chance. He says he loves reading books, and lists seeing movies and playing basketball among his other interests.
Mor Schlesinger, VP, Research & Development
In addition to being incredibly smart and tech savvy, Mor is an athlete, but she says it’s just a hobby. She’s a long distance runner, triathlete and races road bikes. When she’s not logging major miles, Mor enjoys spending time with her family the most and is a self-described bookworm.
